Our Creative Journey

From a small studio in Olsztyn to pioneering 3D game design education across Poland and beyond

Explore Our Methods

Where Innovation Began

Back in 2019, I was working late nights in a cramped apartment, sketching game environments on napkins and dreaming of something bigger. The gaming industry felt impersonal then – massive studios churning out content without the human touch that makes games truly memorable.

We started Menexo Gate because we believed every pixel, every texture, every lighting choice should tell a story worth experiencing.

What began as weekend workshops in a borrowed community center has grown into something we never expected. Today, we work with indie developers from Warsaw to Wrocław, but we've never forgotten that scrappy beginning. Every project still gets the same obsessive attention to detail that kept me up those first nights.

The name "Menexo Gate" came from an old Celtic word meaning "threshold" – because that's what we create. Gateways between the ordinary world and the extraordinary experiences that great games can offer.

Meet Our Creative Team

Maria Kowalska

Founder & Creative Director

Maria brings 12 years of experience from AAA studios including CD Projekt. She specializes in environmental storytelling and has mentored over 200 indie developers. When not designing worlds, she's usually found exploring Poland's forests for inspiration.

What Drives Us Forward

Craftsmanship Over Speed

We'd rather spend three extra hours perfecting a lighting setup than rush something mediocre out the door. Every shadow, every reflection matters in creating immersive experiences.

Teaching Through Discovery

Instead of rigid tutorials, we guide developers through their own creative breakthroughs. The best learning happens when you solve problems yourself with the right support.

Community Over Competition

The Polish gaming scene thrives when we lift each other up. We regularly share resources, connect developers, and celebrate everyone's wins as our own.

Our Mission & Vision

We exist to bridge the gap between technical skill and creative vision. Too many talented artists get lost in software manuals instead of focusing on what they do best – creating worlds that matter.

By 2027, we envision a Poland where indie game developers have access to the same high-level 3D design knowledge that was once locked away in expensive studios. We're building that future one workshop, one mentorship, one breakthrough at a time.
